Why I Waited Until Now: Welcome to by Libby

Today, I’m incredibly proud to share something that has been a long time in the making.

The by Libby website is officially live.

At first glance, it might look like a personal website. But to me, it’s so much more than that. It’s the home of everything I’ve been building over the years—a place where my work, my purpose, my communities and the projects closest to my heart can finally live together.

What many people might not realise is that this website was actually the last piece of the puzzle.

It wasn’t the first thing I wanted to create.

It was always meant to come last.

Why I Waited

For a long time, I never felt the need to have a website about me.

My focus has always been on the work itself.

It has been about creating spaces where women feel seen, building communities that genuinely connect people, advocating for First Nations communities, sharing stories through conversation, and saying yes to opportunities that aligned with my values.

Over the years, those opportunities became Female First, The Female Co, the by Libby Podcast, speaking engagements, community partnerships and projects that continue to evolve every day.

Each one was created because there was a purpose behind it—not because I was trying to build a personal brand.

Eventually, I realised something.

While each project had its own identity, there wasn’t one place where people could understand the bigger picture. There wasn’t one place that showed how everything connected.

That’s when by Libby began to make sense.

Not as another brand.

But as the home that brings every part of my journey together.

I Didn’t Want a Website That Felt Like a Resume

One of the biggest conversations throughout this entire process was making sure this website never became a highlight reel.

I didn’t want a website that listed awards, achievements or milestones for the sake of impressing people.

I wanted people to arrive here and feel like they were getting to know me.

The conversations I have.

The communities I care about.

The work that gives me purpose.

The people I get to walk alongside every day.

If you’ve ever met me in person, you’ll know I value genuine conversations over polished presentations. I wanted this website to reflect that same feeling.

Warm.

Welcoming.

Honest.

Grounded.

A place where people could explore without feeling like they were being marketed to.

Every Decision Came Back to One Question

As we worked through the branding, the design and every page of the website, we kept returning to one simple question:

“Does this genuinely feel like me?”

Not the version of me that people see on stage.

Not the version of me on social media.

Just me.

Because if someone lands on this website and eventually meets me in person, I never want those two experiences to feel different.

Authenticity mattered more than perfection.

Every single time.

More Than Just My Story

Although this website carries my name, it has never really been about me.

It’s about the people I’ve met along the way.

The women who have trusted me with their stories.

The young people who have reminded me why community matters.

The Elders who have shared their wisdom.

The families, organisations, schools and communities who have welcomed me in.

Everything I’ve created has come from those relationships.

This website simply brings those stories together in one place.

The Beginning of a New Chapter

Launching this website doesn’t feel like the end of a project.

It feels like the beginning of a new chapter.

It’s a place that will continue to grow alongside the work I’m doing, the conversations I’m having and the communities I’m privileged to be part of.

There are still so many stories to tell.

So many people to meet.

So many ideas still to bring to life.

Now, they finally have a place to belong.
